SIL and ILO – What’s the Difference?
Choosing the right living arrangement is an important step, and it helps to understand the options available.
Supported Independent Living (SIL)
SIL is 24/7 support in a shared home environment. It’s designed for participants who need help with daily tasks like cooking, cleaning, and personal care, while also enjoying the benefits of living with others.
Individualised Living Options (ILO)
ILO offers a more flexible setup. Supports are tailored to your preferences and lifestyle, and you can choose who you live with, where you live, and the level of help you’d like.
No matter which option feels right, we’ll work closely with you, your support coordinator, and your family to make sure you’re matched with a home environment that meets your needs and feels comfortable.
New SIL & ILO Placements Available
We are working with a local property developer to create brand-new homes for Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Individualised Living Options (ILO).
