Funding Information
Short-Term Accommodation (STA), including respite, is funded through the NDIS under Core Supports – Assistance with Daily Life. This means that the cost of your stay — accommodation, meals, personal care, and support staff — can usually be claimed directly from your NDIS plan.
It’s important to note that some costs are not automatically included. For example, transport is only covered if it’s specifically listed in your plan. Other personal expenses, such as takeaway meals or extra entertainment, may also sit outside of STA funding.
If you’re unsure what’s included in your plan, our team can help you understand your options and work out the best way to use your STA funding.
Respite isn’t only about participants it’s also about the people who care for them.
Time to rest, recharge, and focus on their own wellbeing.
Caring can be rewarding but also demanding. Taking a short break allows carers to look after their own health, catch up with friends, or simply enjoy some downtime.
Peace of Mind
While taking a break, carers can relax knowing their loved one is in capable hands. Our 24/7 staff provide personal care, support, and engaging activities so participants feel safe, comfortable, and included.
Our STA Services Are More Than Just A Place To Stay
Build confidence and independence
With the support of our friendly team, participants can practise daily living skills in a safe environment. This might mean cooking a meal, navigating the community, or simply managing their own routine with encouragement.
Enjoy social connections and make new friends
Group activities, outings, and shared experiences help participants form friendships and strengthen their sense of belonging. Socialising in a supported setting builds communication skills and boosts self-esteem.
Try routines and experiences
From exploring new hobbies to joining community events, participants have the opportunity to discover what they enjoy. These experiences can open the door to new interests that continue well beyond their stay.
